Wednesday 7/14 re-releasing old Jordans

I personally am not a fan of what Jordan brand does when they re-release shoes they have came out with in years prior. Next month we are scheduled to see one of the rarest Jordan 4s come back out.

The Jordan 4 lightning is one of the best Jordan 4s and also one of the more expensive Pairs. Now the original pair came out 15 years ago in 2006 and if you want to get your hands on a those pairs you are going to be spending the minimum of about $1200.  To me once this pair releases in late august for a retail of $220, the original pairs value will go down. People are not going to be paying the high price anymore if they can get a brand new pair for at least a 3rd of the price on the resale market. I do expect these to have plenty of resale value but nowhere close to the 2006 pair. I also saw today that the Jordan 6 midnight navy is set to come back again in November of this year. Another very rare shoe that Jordan brand is putting back on shelves. This pair came out for the first time back in the year 2000. For me I do not like the idea of releasing shoes over and over, because if I get this shoe the only time it comes out it just makes me as a collector feel better. Knowing that I got a pair that is hard to get and now they won't be coming out again is such a satisfying feeling. That could be just me talking as a collector, I am sure there are plenty of people out there who love the idea of bringing back old shoes. I also do not like the idea because the pairs that were made back then are fantastic quality and they feel even better than they look, they made them back then to last. Now a days with these re-released pairs they change minor details, and even just the smallest change is very noticeable if you have the shoes in your hands and you are looking at them. This makes me think is Jordan running out of ideas or are they just getting lazy and just putting out shoes because they know people will buy them regardless? I do hope they do this less and less, maybe on the anniversary of the shoes original release date after a certain period of time to give it even more meaning. I just simply do not like where the brand is heading when I see two pairs that came out prior lined up so close together like that. This could just be me, is there anyone out there who maybe didn't get the chance to get a shoe the first time it came out and now they have second chances to? Anyone a fan of Jordan brand running with this idea? I will keep an eye out to see if more pairs are on the schedule for 2021 that already came out, if I see them I will most certainly come back here with an update.#Jordan #lazy #goodorbad #newideas #notafan
